1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Q Service application, operated and owned by QFMM, one of the companies of Gulf Power Group for Services, Development and Construction W.L.L. registered in the State of Qatar, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the application and its related services. By using the Q Service application, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data you provide

• Account data: full name, phone number, email, and password.
• Provider data (for companies): trade name, commercial registration, licenses, and banking details.
• Delivery addresses and order/booking data.
• The content of your communications with customer service, and ratings and reviews.

2.2 Data collected automatically

• Device data: device type, operating system, application version, and identifiers.
• Usage data, login logs and in-app activity.
• Geolocation data (after your permission) to display nearby services and for delivery.

2.3 Payment data

Card payments are processed via the payment-gateway company (an independent third party licensed by the Qatar Central Bank). Q Service does not store full card numbers or sensitive banking data on its servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Creating and managing your account and verifying your identity and that of providers.
• Executing orders and bookings and processing payments and delivery.
• Sending verification codes (OTP) and operational notifications.
• Providing support and responding to your inquiries.
• Improving the application, developing new features, and anonymized statistical analysis.
• Preventing fraud and misuse and complying with legal obligations in Qatar.

4. Legal Basis and Compliance

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the relevant Qatari legislation, including the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law No. 13 of 2016, the Cybercrime Prevention Law No. 14 of 2014, the Consumer Protection Law No. 8 of 2008, the Electronic Commerce Law No. 16 of 2010, and the Qatar Central Bank regulations relating to payment services.

5. Data Sharing

We may share your data with the following parties to the extent necessary to provide the service:

• Providers of services and products and delivery workers — to execute your orders and bookings (name, contact, address, order details).
• The payment-gateway company (an independent third party) — to complete payments and financial settlements.
• SMS (OTP) and email service providers — to send verification codes and notifications.
• Technology service providers (such as hosting, maps, analytics, and Apple/Google) — under their terms.
• Official and judicial authorities — where required under Qatari law.

Q Service does not sell your personal data, nor share it for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.

6. Payment Data and Its Security

All financial transactions are conducted via a payment-gateway company licensed by the Qatar Central Bank, under a tripartite agreement between Q Service, the payment-gateway company and the providers. Payment data is processed through secure infrastructure compliant with the international payment-card data-security standards (PCI DSS). Q Service bears no responsibility for the acts or default of the payment-gateway company, as an independent party.

7. Location and Maps

The application uses Google Maps/Places services to display locations, set addresses and calculate delivery. Your use of the mapping features is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms. You can control location-access permission from your device settings.

8. OTP, Notifications and Email

We send one-time passwords (OTP) via text messages, and send operational and marketing notifications through the application, email and text messages. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time via account settings or the unsubscribe link. Operational notifications necessary to run the service will continue.

9. Cookies

The application uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience and remember your preferences. You can manage these files through your device settings.

10. Application Wallet

The Q Service wallet is a technical tool to facilitate transactions within the application; it is not a bank account or deposit, and it is subject to the regulatory controls issued by the Qatar Central Bank. We retain wallet-balance data and related transactions for operation, settlement and compliance purposes.

11. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations and resolve disputes. When no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized in accordance with the law.

12. Data Security

We apply bank-level encryption, advanced firewalls and reasonable organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Rights Regarding Your Data

• The right to access your stored personal data.
• The right to correct any inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your data within the legal frameworks.
• The right to object to the processing of your data for direct-marketing purposes.
• The right to delete your account at any time from the application settings.

14. Children's Privacy

The application is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we discover otherwise, we take steps to delete such data.

15. Data Transfer

Some data may be processed by technology service providers outside the State of Qatar (such as cloud-hosting services), with appropriate safeguards taken to protect it in accordance with Qatari law.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or email, and we will update the effective date. Your continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
